Mechanical Engineering

AEEC’s Mechanical Engineers are responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of mechanical systems and equipment while generating and implementing modifications that reduce equipment repair costs and improve the service factor of the operating unit. This requires extensive knowledge and expertise in the design and operation of the equipment. We promote process and facility improvements by analyzing and recommending problem solutions and process improvements to achieve production, safety and environmental goals.  Our Process Engineering team improves the efficiency of existing processes and plans for additions, turnarounds, repairs and new expansions to sites, cost monitoring, unit optimizations, conducting tests and surveys, project execution, and support to hazards analysis and management of change.

Since Process Engineering includes the design, operation, and control of chemical and physical processes, our Process Engineers are skilled in generating, promoting, and analyzing potential changes in the process or operation, which will generate cost savings, production increases, production efficiencies, and energy conservation opportunities. Our dedicated engineers are adept at determining operating characteristics and capabilities of existing equipment; assisting on plant tests and evaluating results.  Each engineer participates and directs plant problem solving/troubleshooting activities while acting as a technical advisor to correct operational problems/issues, provides direction on plant tests and evaluation of results to production supervisor/operators, and assists in the training of operators when new projects are implemented or retraining is required.
