Chemical Engineering

AEEC provides scope development, front end design, economic analysis, detailed design, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement, and construction management in the chemical industry. With nearly 20 years of experience working on projects of all sizes, AEEC’s in-depth chemical analysis goes beyond just test results. It investigates the “why” behind the results. From materials, contaminant and process analysis through application consulting, AEEC’s experienced professionals provide the information and the responsiveness needed to deliver the performance and reliability our customers expect.

AEEC is experienced in driving compliance to quality standards, policies, programs, plans, procedures, work instructions, and practices. We support the analysis of production limitations and problems for continuous improvement opportunities for our clients. We routinely conduct semi-complex audits and/or surveys to determine acceptability of quality controls, system design and condition, and process flows for compliance.

Mechanical Engineering

AEEC’s Mechanical Engineers are responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of mechanical systems and equipment while generating and implementing modifications that reduce equipment repair costs and improve the service factor of the operating unit. This requires extensive knowledge and expertise in the design and operation of the equipment. AEEC specializes in providing specific technical input to optimize the manufacturing quality and efficiency of production operations by introducing the latest, most efficient and effective technology.

Our engineers are trailblazers in identifying and rectifying deficiencies in existing mechanical systems and equipment through the use of Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques. One method used to successfully meet the needs of these requirements is participation in complex Continuous Improvement Team meetings where equipment costs, service factor impact, and scheduling impacts are scrutinized to identify points of improvement. AEEC’s strong technical and problem-solving skills for mechanical design, failure analysis, and maintenance make solving production technical problems stress-free.

Specific Mechanical Engineering services include:

  • Researching and analyzing data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine functional and economic feasibility of design or application.
  • Presenting proposed designed to customers and negotiating changes required to eliminate functional or dimensional problems.
  • Coordinating fabrication and installation activities to ensure that products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Designing products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
  • Evaluating field installations and recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Communicating and working with electrical designers to determine product specification to be able to develop solutions to complex multi-physics design challenges.

Electrical Engineering

AEEC’s Electrical Engineers understand security systems, IT systems, building controls, fire alarm, lighting, generators and power distribution. Having engineers that understand all three systems and how they interrelate allows us to deliver the best-quality solutions to our customer.

Specific Electrical Engineering services include:

  • Executing control systems project or task details and provide periodic status updates.
  • Implementing management of change requests.
  • Maintaining integrity of the control systems and developing control systems standards.
  • Troubleshooting Control systems while working concurrently with the maintenance department.
  • Determining specific control systems / instrumentation & electrical systems requirements.
  • Planning upgrades or modifications to existing control system installations and interfaces to information systems.
  • Designing and implementing control system installations that include: control networks, process control systems and instrumentation.
  • Integrating new installations with existing plant, creating long term solutions for ongoing control system issues.

Process Engineering

AEEC offers Process Engineering capabilities utilizing the entire range of industrial processes. With the market conditions ever changing, we continue to deliver benefits to our clients through our collaborative efforts. We promote process and facility improvements by analyzing and recommending problem solutions and process improvements to achieve production, safety and environmental goals.  Our Process Engineering team improves the efficiency of existing processes and plans for additions, turnarounds, repairs and new expansions to sites, cost monitoring, unit optimizations, conducting tests and surveys, project execution, and support to hazards analysis and management of change.

Since Process Engineering includes the design, operation, and control of chemical and physical processes, our Process Engineers are skilled in generating, promoting, and analyzing potential changes in the process or operation, which will generate cost savings, production increases, production efficiencies, and energy conservation opportunities. Our dedicated engineers are adept at determining operating characteristics and capabilities of existing equipment; assisting on plant tests and evaluating results.  Each engineer participates and directs plant problem solving/troubleshooting activities while acting as a technical advisor to correct operational problems/issues, provides direction on plant tests and evaluation of results to production supervisor/operators, assists in the training of operators when new projects are implemented or retraining is required. Most importantly, each engineer contributes in all aspects of the safety program, as an exemplar and as a student.
