Chief Information Officer (CIO) Support

AEEC is experienced in consulting on key IT Leadership and Management issues that have enterprise wide impact. The work we have done at the IRS (Business Rules and Requirements), DOI (Electronic Records Management), DHS (Modernization) all include governance recommendations, program and business case analysis, risk management, etc. Our consultants lend full support to the CIO office sub-organizations at our customers. Specific activities include:

Workforce Management: Selecting and managing all resources needed for a project. This includes sub-contractors and partner staff engaged on projects for which AEEC is the prime contractor.

IT Architecture Support: Providing all aspects of IT architecture including Software and Hardware recommendations and pricing as needed in an engagement.

Risk Management: An essential component of all projects AEEC mitigates risk on projects by identifying and assessing possible impacts and working with customers to address resolutions, such as adjusting activities and resource utilization to meet changing management priorities, agile action to meet change in scope, business requirements etc.

Program Analysis & Implementation: Evaluating and assessing the cost benefits from possible solutions against prioritized requirements and business drivers to arrive at the optimal solution for the program or project.

Program Management Office Support: Providing full Program Management support for projects and enterprise programs.

Advisory and Assistance Services: Providing strategic and technology advice and assistance on matters even outside the scope of the project earning the trust of our customers.

Market Research: Researching and Identifying the industry best practices and most suitable products for evaluation in a project.



Software Development

While many companies can follow Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and provide full life cycle services, the distinction in AEEC's Software Development solutions stems from the fact that the leadership comprises of professionals with very solid and vast technology background, combined with varied industry experience providing large scale enterprise solutions. This gives AEEC an edge in identifying the most appropriate technologies and solution architecture for our customers' needs.

IT Operations & Maintenance (O&M)

AEEC has had great success in IT Operations & Maintenance work across multiple engagements.

At USDA, AEEC is the prime contractor for a large Operations and Maintenance contract which includes all aspects of O&M. The AEEC team has performed successfully and has been given a 100% satisfaction rating each month of the contract.

At DHS Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), as part of our Modernization efforts (a long term systems integration project), the AEEC team has performed O&M on the development, test, and production environments to support the development and rollout of new system releases.

Our IT O&M offering has matured with experience and success.It starts with establishing a good understanding of the customer's business, IT operations and infrastructure, developing a transition plan that minimizes risk to the operations and ensures knowledge transfer and performance metrics, staffing with the most appropriate resources (we are open to collaborating with incumbent subject matter experts to retain expertise and knowledge), and tiered support structure with escalation to executive management at AEEC.



Integration Services

AEEC has significant experience in providing integration services for large scale enterprise IT programs.

At DHS Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), AEEC has been engaged for eight years and currently has 45 consultants working on the Modernization program. This project is mission critical to CBP, providing an efficient and secure system for managing trade across US Borders.

At the USCIS Transformation Project and the TSA OASIS Project, AEEC provides key technical resources to these large Systems Integration Projects.

At USDA, AEEC delivers two releases annually to the Integrated Acquisition System. These new releases all require the integration of new application code with the PRISM and Oracle COTS software, as well as the USDA back end financial systems.

At the Department Of The Interior for determining the solution for Electronic Records Management and implementing it across the department and all its bureaus.

Besides a strong technology base, the integration services that AEEC provides draw strength from the domain expertise of its people in areas such as requirements management, enterprise architecture, business process management and optimization, IT security, electronic records management, document and content management, ERP and financial systems.



Digital Government

AEEC directly supports the eGovernmentinitiative by helping the DOI move from paper based records to electronic records management, which further facilitates electronic search and discovery, content harvesting, data mining and reporting. Records management is a key factor for enabling enterprise Knowledge Management and AEEC has domain expertise in providing records management solutions, implemented through numerous commercially available solutions that integrate across enterprise content repositories.

AEEC's capabilities in business process reengineering help identify opportunities for automation of manual processes, data management and promote self service, thereby enhancing digital government programs. The impact is on both, essential business functions as well as strategic decision making.
