Project Manager

AEEC is seeking a senior engineer to serve as a Project Manager for a Public Works Division under a facilities maintenance contract at an Army installation in the State of Virginia. Must possess Bachelor of Science degree at a minimum. Requires past experience with federal installations and contractors. Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years experience overseeing a DPW contract or will have acted as Deputy PM in the past.

Staff/Field Engineer

AEEC is seeking an entry to mid-level field engineer (any discipline) to support activities associated with subsurface soil and groundwater remediation (design, operation, optimization, sampling, modeling, data compilation, data analysis, data presentation; reporting). Work is also related to air and wastewater treatment process engineering (air strippers, oil water separators, dissolved air flotation, flocculation, carbon absorption, process piping design, air flow measurements, blower specifications, pump specifications. Hydraulic concepts (friction loss, pump curves, blower curves, npsh, etc) are heavily emphasized. Strong verbal, written communication skills and standard computer skills are mandatory. Candidate can expect wide variety of work which will include an intense initial learning curve under the supervision and mentoring of highly qualified engineering staff and operational staff. Some travel will be required. The work will emphasize an initial involvement with field activities followed by a gradual phasing into office engineering and management environment as skills are developed. Field activities will emphasize contractor oversight, data collection, system troubleshooting, PLC interaction, system operation, system repair, and general system maintenance. Office activities will be in support of the engineering group for process engineering and reporting. Previous hands-on work experience related to anything mechanical (construction, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, farming, automotive, etc) is valued.
